Jesus said, "Love thy neighbor." White Christian nationalism said, "Cool,

but only if they look like us, vote like us, and don't speak Spanish."

They'll quote scripture like it's a bumper sticker, "Love thy neighbor," but the moment that

neighbor needs asylum, healthcare, or a place to sleep, suddenly it's, "Build a wall,

close the border, protect our values." It's like they treat the Bible as a menu. I'll take the forgiveness

appetizer, skip the compassion entree, and add a side of gated community.

And the walls aren't just physical. They build walls around history, ban the books,

rewrite the curriculum. They build walls around empathy. Don't talk about slavery,
