This Thanksgiving drama ended our family tradition. Every year my family celebrates Thanksgiving

together. This year, my nephew volunteered to cook the meat and told everyone

else to bring sides. I said we’d bring mashed potatoes. Then my sister dropped a rule in the group

chat: every ‘family’ had to bring at least $100 worth of food — or pay $100 toward the

meat. No one agreed to this beforehand. The next day, she sent three options:

Pay $100 for food. Pay $100 for the meat. Or pay my dad’s water bill.

I replied with a fourth option: not showing up. She got furious… and posted my salary
