The Ark of Cold Souls

He thought he was the only one who became cold. Then he met her. She didn't need

his story. She had her own. She didn't ask about his scars. She had matching

ones. Two people who stopped believing in warmth, standing in the same frozen place.

No explanations. No questions. Just recognition. "You're in the Ark," she said.

"I didn't know there were others," he replied. "There are always others.
