The Avoidant Anti-Butterfly Cycle

If you stay with an avoidant long enough, they turn into this. I call it the anti-butterfly.

All right, this is going to blow your mind. You're familiar with the typical

avoidant behavior in a relationship, right? You know, I've often compared

the beginning of relationships with avoidants to a caterpillar evolving into a butterfly.

Now, a butterfly starts out an egg, just like an avoidant starts out,

kind of totally closed off from you. Next comes the caterpillar stage.

This is where an avoidant starts to get the idea that they want to date you,

and as a result, they binge you and text you and call you and give you attention,
