The Border Is a Graveyard

The US-Mexico border is actually a graveyard. I spent 72 hours behind the scenes expecting a war

zone full of criminals, but the reality shattered me. I met a tough Texas sheriff who actually

breaks down in tears over the migrants he finds dead in the brush. I visited a slum

called Cartolandia where deportees live in cardboard boxes next to open sewage just to survive.

The scariest part wasn't the cartels, it was hiking into the desert and finding the body of a 19-year-old

kid who died alone just trying to help his family. The news sells you fear,

but out here, you realize it is not about politics, it is just about human beings trying

to survive.
