The Bronze Serpent: A Symbol of Healing

The Fiery Serpents and the Bronze Snake - Look and Live Numbers 21:4–9 The Israelites had

been traveling through the wilderness for many years. God had rescued them from Egypt,

parted the Red Sea, given them food from heaven, and led them with a cloud by day and

fire by night. But still, they often forgot His goodness. One day,

as they journeyed around the land of Edom, the people became impatient.

They grumbled against God and Moses, saying, “Why did you bring us out of Egypt

to die in the wilderness? There is no bread, no water, and we are tired of this manna!”

Their complaining displeased God. They had forgotten how He cared for them.
