The Door Stayed Closed

My dad cheated on my mom when I was just a kid. I remember finding her crying in the

kitchen, and I ran to hug her tight. She held onto me like I was her lifeline.

Ten years passed, and out of nowhere, my dad shows up at our doorstep asking for forgiveness.
