Back in the day, in 1804, Vice President Aaron Burr kills Alexander Hamilton in a duel

— one of the most cringe acts of political violence in American history. Hamilton was a Federalist,

Revolutionary War hero, George Washington’s top aide, helped shape the

Constitution, and was the first Treasury Secretary. Burr, an ambitious Democratic-Republican,

had beef with Hamilton for years. When Jefferson and Burr tied in electoral votes for the Presidency,

Hamilton threw shade at Burr and finessed Congress to pick Jefferson. Burr was very butt

hurt. Fast forward — Burr runs for New York governor and Hamilton disses him again.
