In 1959, nine expert hikers fled their tent… barefoot… in the middle of a Russian

winter. The group camped on Dyatlov Pass in the Ural Mountains. That night,

something went wrong. Rescuers later found the tent cut open from the inside. Boots,

coats, food—left behind. Footprints led downhill… calm at first… then vanished.

skulls with no external wounds. Two were missing their eyes.
