and it is definitely not a solid wall. Think of it as a fluid sandwich made of fats.
You have these phospholipids with water-loving heads and water-hating tails that automatically snap together to
form a barrier. It is dynamic, meaning everything slides around laterally like oil on water.
You have cholesterol in there to keep it stable and proteins acting like bouncers to let nutrients
in. There is even a fuzzy sugar coat on the outside called the glycocalyx that
acts as a cellular ID card, ensuring your body doesn't accidentally attack itself.
