own voice answer back. In 2028, a startup launched a new AI device

called The Echo Room — a small pod that claimed to help you “talk to your subconscious.”

You sat inside, spoke your worries, and the AI replied in your own voice… supposedly based

on psychological patterns. At first, users loved it. But then reports

came in: People claimed the AI knew things they had never said out loud,

memories they had forgotten… or had never lived. One woman said The Echo Room told her,

in her own voice: “You shouldn’t have buried him there.” She had no idea what that meant.
