The Endless Construction of Sagrada Familia

You think the construction on your street takes forever. Barcelona has been building one single

church for more than 130 years. That is the Sagrada Familia and it is still not finished.

So why does one building take longer than several countries. Imagine trying to build a stone spaceship

covered in sculptures, using designs from an architect who died in 1926. When Gaudí died,

only about a quarter of the basilica was done. Then you add wars, money problems,

and the tiny detail that every tower and facade is insanely detailed and mostly handmade.
