The Endless Stairs of the Merrick House

The footsteps were coming UP the basement stairs… but the basement had NO floor.

Ohio, 2011. The Merrick family moved into an old farmhouse with one

rule: Never open the basement door. Because when you open it—

you don’t see a basement. You see five wooden steps descending into

a pitch-black, bottomless void… like the house is sitting on the mouth of Hell.

Every night at 2:33 AM, the family heard something moving in that darkness—

slow, wet, inhuman footsteps climbing those stairs… step…

step… step… But whatever it was, it always stopped
