The Enfield Poltergeist Mystery

Story 1: The Enfield Poltergeist. In August 1977, at 284 Green Street in Enfield,

North London, single mother Peggy Hodgson was trying to get her four kids to bed.

It was a totally ordinary house for Peggy and her children: Margaret, about 13,

Janet, 11, Johnny, 10, and Billy,

7. But on this night, the ordinary was shattered. Janet and Johnny

started complaining that their beds were wobbling. Peggy, like any parent,

figured it was just kids being kids and told them to knock it off. But their fear felt

real, and, uh, pretty soon, she couldn't ignore
