Picture this: 1951, Korean War, snow everywhere, and one single Filipino battalion accidentally
becomes the main character. This is the Battle of Yultong. Chinese forces were
pushing hard, like “free trial that won’t cancel” hard. The UN line was
collapsing, and things were going downhill fast. Enter the 10th Battalion Combat Team from
the Philippines, outnumbered and stuck in freezing conditions. Instead of running,
they said, “Nah,” and held the line. Wave after wave of enemy attacks
came in, and the Filipinos kept fighting—rifles, grenades, pure stubbornness.
