The Final Remembrance Upward

“On the first day of a new year, the Gita reminds us: the most important direction is not

ahead — but upward, toward the Eternal.” Lord Krishna now describes the final remembrance.

He speaks of the Supreme as the ancient Seer, subtler than the subtlest,

the sustainer of all, radiant like the sun, beyond all darkness.

And then He reveals the moment that matters most. At the time of departure, with an unwavering

mind, strengthened by practice, filled with devotion, the yogi gathers

the life force, centers it between the brows, and remembers only the Divine.

This is not escape. This is mastery. Not fear at the end — but awareness.
