The Fridge Loot Box Cycle

Why do I keep opening the fridge like it’s a loot box. Like OH maybe THIS time a full five-star

meal spawned. Nope. Same milk. Same ketchup. Same emotional damage.

I’ll stare at it like it personally disappointed me, close it, walk away…

AND THEN COME BACK TEN SECONDS LATER. What changed?? Time didn’t pass. Gordon Ramsay didn’t

break in. My brain just goes “nah check again.” I’m not hungry, I’m just bored and

the fridge is my emotional support appliance.
