The Hinterkaifeck Farmhouse Murders

In 1922 Germany, an entire family was murdered… and the killer lived in their house afterward.

The Gruber family lived on an isolated farm called Hinterkaifeck. Days before the murders,

the father reported footprints in the snow leading from the forest to the house…

but none leading back. Tools went missing. Footsteps were heard in the attic.

Then—silence. When neighbors investigated, they found six bodies. Four were lured into the barn and

killed one by one. The maid and a child were murdered inside the house. Food had been eaten.

Animals were fed. A fire was kept burning. Someone stayed in the house

for days after the murders. The killer was never found. The farm was demolished.
