The Kindness of the Witch

Once upon a time, there lived a witch in a big banyan tree at the edge of a village.

She often scared people and created trouble for everyone who passed by. The villagers were

terrified of her and tried to stay away. One day, the witch fell very

sick. Even though she had caused them much trouble, the kind-hearted

villagers decided to help her. They brought her food, medicine,

and cared for her until she recovered. The witch was deeply moved by their kindness. Her heart changed,

and from that day on, she stopped troubling the villagers. Instead,

she began using her magic to help them — curing illnesses, protecting their crops,
