The Legend of Gautam Chattopadhyay and Bangla Rock

Uh, Gautam Chattopadhyay, uh, started with rock music in English.

He played with, uh, Black Cactus and he played with The Urge,

which were both English rock- Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. ... bands at Trinka's

in the '70s. Mm. He also started Mohiner Ghoraguli which is considered

the founder of Bangla rock. A lot of Bengali houses actually was,

like, one of those houses where music was given a lot of priority, you know,

like, part of the cultural identity. The thing with my father was he was

really, like, deeply rooted but very international as well.
