Minecraft used to have a place so strange and unstable that it looked like the game was tearing
itself apart. In early versions of Minecraft, if you traveled more than 12 million
blocks from spawn, you reached the legendary Far Lands — a region where the world generator
literally broke down. Mountains formed in impossible shapes, chunks stacked sideways,
caves split open like glitches, and gravity behaved unpredictably. Developers confirmed
it wasn’t intentional at all. It was a math overflow error in the terrain algorithm… and it
became one of the most iconic “myths” players chased for years until it was finally fixed.
It was Minecraft’s own accidental edge of reality. We post daily gaming fun facts.
