Adding two light waves together can create complete darkness. It’s called destructive
interference, and it’s the magic behind the beautiful colors you see on a soap bubble.
Here's how it works: when light hits a thin film, like a bubble's wall,
some of it reflects off the top surface, and some reflects off the bottom. These two reflected
waves then meet and interfere. Depending on the film's thickness, some light waves
cancel each other out, while others get amplified. The colors you see
are the ones that survived. So, those shimmering rainbows aren't
pigments; they're just light playing tricks with itself.
