Bedtime stories don't have to be boring. I discovered something incredible reading to
kids from different backgrounds. A Japanese girl taught me that in her culture,
the moon rabbit makes mochi instead of cheese. A Nigerian boy shared how Anansi
the spider uses wisdom, not strength. Standard Western stories make many children
feel invisible. But when I mixed tales, kids lit up. These stories wire
brains for creativity and innovation. Scientists found they boost emotional intelligence too.
We are not just putting kids to sleep. We are raising the generation that
understands each other.
