One Indian Maharaja saved hundreds of Polish children from a frozen hell when the rest of
the world looked away. During World War II, thousands of Polish
kids were starving in brutal Soviet camps, completely abandoned. When they were finally
released, they had nowhere to go until Maharaja Jam Saheb stepped up.
He didn't just offer shelter; he built them a home in India. He looked these terrified kids in
the eye and said You are no longer orphans, I am your father now.
He gave over six hundred children food, education, and safety.
Poland never forgot his kindness, and today, Warsaw has a square named after the
