The Mirror Knows What I Did

I got a text from my best friend at two seventeen AM. The same friend I buried three days

ago. It said why didn't you tell them. Tell who. Then I remembered

I was the last person who saw him alive. The message showed seen at two eighteen AM.

Now he's watching me. I blocked his number but it started ringing. Unknown caller.

No breathing. No sound. Then my own voice spoke back. You promised you

wouldn't tell. That's when I remembered that night on the empty road. He asked for help.

And I walked away. He wasn't breathing yet when I left. I didn't kill him. I just let him die.

My phone lit up again. Incoming call from me. Not him.
