The Mirror Visitor

Every night at exactly 2:17 a.m., my dog would sit up and stare at the hallway,

growling softly. I thought it was just noise from the neighbors—until one night,

curiosity won. I turned on my phone’s flashlight and followed his gaze. The hallway was

empty, but the bathroom mirror at the end reflected something that wasn’t behind

me. A tall figure stood in the doorway of my bedroom. I spun around.

Nothing. When I looked back at the mirror, the figure was closer—its face pressed against

the glass, smiling. My dog stopped growling. He started wagging his tail.
