The Moon's Dream to Swim

Far above the world, the Moon watched the oceans sparkle under her soft silver light.

Every night, she sighed and whispered to the stars, “If only I could swim.”

The stars giggled. “You’re the Moon! You belong in the sky!” But the Moon dreamed

of splashing in the sea, of playing with dolphins and hiding behind waves.

One night, a curious shooting star overheard her wish and zoomed down to Earth to

find a solution. It landed in a quiet forest where a clever owl named Orla lived. “A swimming Moon?”

Orla blinked. “Well… maybe we can trick the sea!” The star and the owl gathered mirrors

from old cabins, shiny spoons from forgotten campsites, and a lake as still as glass.
