The Poet's Lament and Glory

His heart burns for the cruel, and I suffer for him. I cannot hide

love, while others claim it for power. If love unites us,

I wish to share its measure. I saw him when swords were sheathed and filled

with blood. The enemy fled, leaving behind sorrow and blessings. Your presence commands

respect that fear cannot force. The desert and sword know me, as does the

pen. A glorious victory is embraced by foes. O fairest of

people, you are the judge and law. I sleep while the world debates

my eloquence.
