Everywhere you look, nature is glowing with color — deep greens, bright reds,
electric blues. But behind this beauty is a hidden system of physics and biology
working together to bring color to life. Color in nature isn’t random.
It helps animals survive, lets plants attract pollinators, and even allows
creatures to communicate without making a sound. To understand color, we start with
light. Sunlight looks white, but it’s actually made of many wavelengths — each one
carrying a different color. When light hits an object, some wavelengths are
absorbed and others bounce back. The colors you see are simply the wavelengths that
