Deep beneath the earth in China lies a tomb that has never been opened. The resting place
of Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China, known as the Tomb of the Immortals.
It is said to hold rivers of flowing mercury, a model of his empire, and secrets that
could rewrite history. When archaeologists discovered it in 1974, they also uncovered
thousands of life-sized soldiers guarding the tomb. The Terracotta Army, each one different,
each one watching. Ancient records describe deadly traps, crossbows rigged
to fire automatically, and chambers filled with toxins meant to protect the emperor in death.
Modern scans confirm the presence of enormous sealed chambers beneath the surface untouched
