The Silent Disappearance of Pangolins

every year. This is the pangolin. The most trafficked mammal on Earth. Hunted for its scales,

even though they’re made of the same material as your fingernails. Sold on myths that

don’t work, but still cost lives. When danger appears, the pangolin curls into a tight ball.

A defense strong enough to stop lions. Completely useless against humans. Today,

all eight species are threatened with extinction. Some may disappear within our lifetime.

Once they’re gone, there’s no rewind button. No second chance. Because extinction

doesn’t happen in one moment. It happens when no one is watching.
