The Slow Work of God

A new year often awakens urgency. We want progress quickly. Results immediately.

Change we can see. But Jesus taught growth differently. He often compared the kingdom of God

to seeds planted in the ground. Seeds do not rush. They grow unseen —

slowly, quietly, faithfully. Jesus said the good soil

“produces a crop with perseverance.” Patience, in Jesus’ teaching, was never passive.

It was active trust. Waiting does not mean doing nothing. It means continuing to obey
