The Smoothie Explosion Breakfast

I believed I was extremely responsible. To prove it, I decided to make my own breakfast

while my parents slept. Step one: toast. Easy. Step two: peanut

butter. Still good. Step three: confidence. I thought, “Why stop there?”

So I tried to make a “gourmet smoothie” using a blender I had never used before.

I added a banana, milk, cereal, and—because I saw it on TV once—hot

sauce. Lots of hot sauce. When I turned on the blender, it sounded like

a lawn mower fighting a bear. The lid flew off, and smoothie exploded onto the ceiling,

the walls, and somehow the dog. The dog was confused but optimistic.
