The French Revolution was basically the bubonic plague of society. Bread cost more

than your entire paycheck and the king was out here throwing parties like he was streaming

on Twitch with unlimited subs. Meanwhile everyone else was grinding and starving,

paying all the taxes the rich were literally living in creative mode. France was cooked.

The government was broke from funding wars, but the king kept spending like he
