The Tall Man’s Second Rule

On a Tuesday morning. A mother fainted in her kitchen while her husband was at work.

Their four-year-old son found her and called 911. The operator said he sounded calm…

too calm. Then he said there was a tall man in the room with Mommy. And the man gave

him rules, who he could let in… and who he couldn’t. Paramedics only. Not Daddy.

When the ambulance came, the father saw on the baby monitor the front-door chain

lifting by itself. The paramedics went in. But when the father got home,

the chain was locked again, even tighter. The paramedics said no one else was

there. But that night, the boy whispered, “The tall man’s still here.”
