The True Vine and Its Branches

As evening settled over the Mount of Olives, Jesus walked with His disciples through

a vineyard. Moonlight glowed on the twisting vines, heavy with clusters

of grapes. The disciples walked quietly — the air felt sacred, expectant.

Jesus stopped beside a strong vine rooted deep in the earth. He placed His hand upon it and spoke

words that would echo across generations: “I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Gardener.”

The disciples listened closely. “Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit… He takes

away. And every branch that bears fruit… He prunes, so that it may bear
