The Walkie-Talkie Bust

So this happened back when I was in 7th grade, and to this day I still don’t know

if I should laugh or be embarrassed. So picture this: it’s a normal Tuesday morning,

I’m half-asleep, my backpack smells like hot Cheetos, and I’m just trying to survive the day.

I walk into class and my teacher, Ms. Hill, is acting weird. Like… staring at

me the way villagers look at you when you accidentally punch them. I’m thinking maybe

she finally snapped or something. Anyway, we’re doing this quiet reading assignment,

right? Everyone is chill. Then suddenly she goes: “Mike,

can you step outside?” AND THAT RIGHT THERE was the moment my soul left my body. Anytime a teacher
