The entire story of AI art is a 70-year-long war between two opposing dreams. It all began in
1956 at Dartmouth, a dream of recreating intelligence born from reckless ambition. Early computer art
was physical, made by robots. Then a successful painter, Harold Cohen,
tried to outsource his own passion to a machine. Curiosity without wisdom.
Decades of AI winters and sci-fi hype followed, making AI 'the future'. Then,
Photoshop, powerful gaming GPUs, and a niche 2015 paper on thermodynamics
changed everything. That paper gave us diffusion models, the biggest enemy of artists.
With massive funding and OpenAI moving faster than regulation, they scraped the internet and unleashed
