Threshold of Desire

I've walked through quiet streets. Through shadowed rooms of my own mind.

Every step echoes back at me. Every door I find is locked behind

and still I feel a pull. A whisper I can't define. Something waits beyond

the dark. Something I might call mine. I stand here at the threshold.

Breath caught between fear and desire. One step and the world may shift.

One step and I'm walking through fire. I don't know what waits

inside. But I can't turn back the tide. The walls around

me tremble faint. A light flickers just out of reach. It calls me
