Trapped in Simon's Game

My third-grade teacher stole my entire childhood with a single game of Simon Says.

We were horrible kids who bullied Mrs. Carrington about her wrinkles until she finally

snapped. She smiled weirdly and said, "Simon says stop." I froze instantly.

For ten years, I was trapped inside my own mind, watching the seasons change while my

body grew up on autopilot. I felt every growing pain but couldn't scream.

Then, she finally whispered, "Simon says go." I blinked and realized I was standing on

stage holding a high school diploma. I’m physically eighteen, but mentally I’m still nine years

old, and I think she’s still using my body to commit crimes when I sleep.
