College anxiety nearly destroyed me until I realized everyone is doing self care completely wrong.
We are told to just breathe and journal, but that is not enough for
spirals. I started treating my mind like my phone battery. At twenty percent,
I recharge. Ten minute walks between classes reset my nervous system. It is not
just a trend. I stopped studying alone. Libraries and coffee shops became my
safe spaces for focus. Talking to campus counseling was the smartest decision I
ever made. It is not weakness. My classmates and I check in
