What is Disk I/O? (Server Monitoring Explained) (Day 15/30) You check
a slow server. CPU is fine. RAM is fine. Disk space is fine. But it's still incredibly
sluggish. The problem isn't how much disk space you have, it's how fast you
can read and write to it. You need to monitor Disk I/O. Disk I/O stands
for "Input/Output." It measures how busy your hard drives are. The key metric to
watch is Disk Queue Length. Think of this as a line at a grocery store.
If the queue length is zero, you're good. If it's consistently 5,
10, or 20... your disk is a major bottleneck. It can't keep up
