Understanding ETOPS and Extended Operations

So anyways, this came in off the hotline, and the terminology that we use is called

ETOPS. And ETOPS, essentially the, the basic gist of it is,

is that because we've gone away from using four engine, three engine aircraft

across longer distances over water, uh, it's extended operations, which you go to

two engine aircraft. So most of the time you're gonna fly across the ocean, you're gonna ride

on a 767, maybe a 757 or a 777, uh, 787,

A350, A330. These are all two engine aircraft. Um,

they, so people would get nervous before because you'd have more engines,
