Understanding Packet Capture with Wireshark

What is Packet Capture (Wireshark Explained) (Day 12/30) Nothing else works. SNMP is green,

pings are fast, NetFlow looks normal... but an application still fails. It’s time to stop

looking at metrics about the data and look inside the data itself. You need to perform

a packet capture. Tools like Wireshark or tcpdump let you "sniff" the traffic on the wire.

You can literally read the conversation between two devices. You’ll see the raw data,

the handshakes, the errors. Is the server sending a "reset" command? Is the client asking

for the wrong port? Packet capture is the final source of truth. It doesn't lie.
