Teres Major is a small muscle in the back of the shoulder, which originates
from the posterior surface of the inferior angle of the scapula, and inserts on the medial lip of the
intertubercular sulcus of the humerus, which allows the muscle to do shoulder extension,
adduction, and internal rotation, these actions are seen in pulling motions-like climbing,
rowing, and pull-ups. The muscle is innervated by the lower subscapular nerve,
which originates from the spinal levels of C5 and C6. Some interesting
facts about this muscle are that the teres major is often referred to as “the little
