Trypsin-like immunoreactivity, or TLI, is a vital diagnostic test. It measures pancreatic
enzymes like trypsinogen in the bloodstream. High levels suggest pancreatitis; low levels indicate insufficiency.
In dogs, TLI is key for diagnosing Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency. EPI means the
pancreas doesn't produce enough digestive enzymes. Dogs with EPI often suffer from chronic weight loss
and diarrhea. The TLI test is highly specific for confirming this condition.
Early diagnosis allows effective treatment, greatly improving their health.
