Full text from the video
Scientists are combining data from two different satellites, one that stopped working back in
2011, to create one massive, unified view of our oceans. This project gives
us a daily global map showing wind speed, water vapor in the air,
and even the water inside clouds. The real magic is how they calibrated the old and new
instruments to match perfectly, like making two different phone cameras produce
the exact same colors. This creates a nearly unbroken record of ocean conditions from 2002 all the
way to today. It's a powerful tool for seeing long-term trends and understanding
our planet's climate.
