Nigeria produces over 70 million tons of cassava annually making it the world's largest
cassava producer but most Nigerians don't know this crop could solve our food crisis.
This root vegetable that grows in almost every Nigerian backyard is actually more nutritious than
rice or wheat that we import billions of dollars worth every year. Cassava can survive
droughts that kill other crops and produces food faster than most alternatives. One hectare of cassava
can feed a family of six for an entire year while requiring minimal water and fertilizer.
The crazy part is that countries like Thailand and Vietnam are getting rich exporting cassava
