When people say 'raven,' they almost always refer to the Common Raven Corvus corax.
There are many Corvus species like crows, rooks, and jackdaws,
but only two true raven species exist worldwide. The genus Corvus includes ravens,
crows, jackdaws, rooks, and choughs, but only a
couple are genuine ravens. Let's talk about ravens in Europe. Europe has only
one true raven species. This is the Common Raven, Corvus corax.
It's the biggest of all corvids. Found across all of Europe, from the Mediterranean
to Scandinavia, it is extremely intelligent and adaptable. Other European Corvus birds are often
