Unsolved Disturbance: The Lake Annecy Shootings

The Lake Annecy (Chevaline) shootings are unsettling largely because of three things:

Unclear target – any of the victims could have been the intended target, or none at all.

Contradictory clues – evidence suggests planning and skill, yet also mistakes and odd choices.

No solid motive – every theory has gaps. That combination is why the case

still feels so disturbing years later.
